so they are not going to pay??? Ummmm.. I don't think they can deny a legit claim. You might want to contact the insurance commissioner of the state if they deny.

I am waiting on the adjustor to call. I imagine they will pay. I am just worried because I have never had two accidents in the same year.

I'd expect they'll pay. It's not like it was your fault or anything!

And just to make you feel better, I'll tell you my deer story. Well, actually, Sweetie's. He hit a smallish mule deer (young cow) with his BMW motorcycle about 6 years ago, before dawn. Killed the deer, mucho damage to the motorcycle, the only damage to Sweetie was deer crap all over his motorcycle suit.

Fast forward to 3 years ago, also before dawn. He was on his Ducati motorcycle, saw the deer (another mule deer-we grow 'em big out here), and stopped. The deer--a buck with a full rack--changed course, lowered its rack and charged Sweetie. Damage to Sweetie = 11 days in the hospital. The deer just trampled over him and ran off into the hills.

Sweetie's hypothesis is that the buck was a family member to the one he killed before. Sweetie is fine, but no longer rides either of his motorcycles in the dark!

And I have to echo Doc: Did you get to keep the deer?? !!

Maybe your car is a suicidal deer magnet? Insurance will more than likely pay, your rates will go up, but they'll pay. The State of Ohio has actually opened up now hunting season earlier in Ohio due to the over abundance of deer and are allowing hunters to bag more deer than usual.

saw this, thought of you. It is a little too preachy (consider the source of the book), but I liked the cover photo.

Aw, too bad. I once saw a deer run across the highway right into the side of a minivan. The deer fell over, got up, and staggered off. The minivan driver pulled over and I stopped behind him to make sure he was okay--the deer ran right into the driver's door and left a big dent. He was fine but told me "I think I need to change my pants!"

    I'm beginning to believe that.

    I may become a hunter.
