Sounds very close to what I'm doing too. I think this has a better balance all around and will be sustainable in the long run. VLC or ZC is nearly impossible to maintain for more than a week or 2 and I didn't see any benefit aside from the gut issue.

I think you're on the right track. I think we're both on the right track!

I was reading on the main forum about cancer and the ketogenic diet. Considering the history of cancer with my Mom, I was sorely tempted to try keto again. BUT, I know that it makes me feel very emotionally unstable. If I ever actually get cancer, I will jump right into keto. For now, balancing hormones is the most important.

blood or urine, I never showed I was in ketosis, not sure what it would take beyond what I was doing but I am not willing to go there, unless-as you said-I am diagnosed with cancer.

By small changes I meant to go back to Primal first then when you are comfy there, move into Paleo.

I can make my own mayo as well, actually prefer the taste, but I so very rarely use it it will go bad unless I am cooking for company. i.e., this weekend I am making some salads that need it so I will make a batch.

eggs are a vehicle for veggies at our house (i.e. veggie scramble or frittatas), I am not eating tuna right now (no reason just not in the rotation), I don't do pork rinds either.

Bacon is a food that sets off binging, ie. I gotta eat the whole package, so I only use it in recipes, don't fry it up anymore.

I have not been paying attention to my macros, I am barely tracking.

Yeah, it is definitely Primal for now, Paleo later. I have 2 slices of bacon a day.

Crap! I mada a gyno appt. a month ago for my yearly. It is tomorrow, but my period arrived today. I have to reschedule because she won't be able to do the pap. That is the whole point.

Also, think happy thoughts for me. I have rehearsal tonight and am deep in the throes of PMS Badittude.

I could never stop at 2 pieces!

My last gyn appt (which is basically my physical) fell on my TOM as well, she said that I only need to do one every other year since they have been clear for so many years in a row, she consulted with the gyn who had done my last one that showed something weird.

Crash and burn due to hormones and badittude.

Interesting, the ad I answered has been removed from craig's list. I guess they got inundated with responses. I am proud that I took a chance and responded even if I never hear anything.
