glad you let yourself off the hook yesterday, hopefully without any guilt, and are starting clean today. Did you track when you first started? Maybe you just need to go back to the very beginning when it was working for you? I can't remember what changed, I didn't latch onto the Pebbles train until you were trying to figure things out, but I seem to remember that straight Primal worked for you in the beginning?

Just a little note...at the beginning of your journal, January 2011, you weighed just over 250. So in 2 years you have lost 40 pounds, right?

At the beginning of my journal, August 2011, I weighed 267. So in 2 years I have lost 6 pounds.

Your plan seems to be working better than mine.

I weighed 275 when I started on 9/24/10. The journal started in January. So 50 lbs in 3 years, but it was as much as 65. I hit 210 on 9/24/11.

Yes straight primal by the book worked for me. That is what I am trying now, but the binging was much better controlled. Since then, I got deeper into perimenopause, lost my Mom and likely screwed myself with too many experiments.

What I probably need is clean Paleo with Primal Blueprint ratios.

^ this me too! I'm finding something in the range of 25%/25%/50% (C, P, F) works best for me to feel good and not have cravings.

Yes, probably. What is the difference between the 2 of them for you? (there are soooooo many definitions out there). Is is basically a bit more fruit and no dairy or AS?

    Karin, no news yet.

Chris, the difference for me would be no dairy, no sweeteners and no commercial bacon. I also use regular hellmanns mayo which is a no no on both.
I don't eat a ton of the above, but I have seen a difference in weight loss and longevity on plan when I drop them. Currently I am using hwc and stevia in my coffee plus one whey protein drink. I have one serving of bacon and mayo daily. I just don't feel like stopping these right now.
Honestly the one thing I have not done in almost a year is just eat a consistent amount of calories, fat, protein carbs on a daily basis for an extended period.

I would start with the smallest change that you know that you can consistently keep up with. I think you probably need to boost your confidence in your ability to follow a plan again.

Having tried to drop the HWC and stevia from my coffee recently, I get not doing that! I did reduce the amount to a measured tablespoon of the HWC and add some of my "homemade" watered down coconut milk to boost the milkiness a bit.

What do you put the mayo on? And do you eat the bacon straight up?

Today is apparently the first day of Mark's annual primal challenge. I had pizza yesterday, so I guess that was (unknowningly) my last hurrah =P.
