When he got up, we chatted about his new job fairly normally. He was a little snide and snippy at first, but that passed.
In his mind, I am the one who is not being supportive of his decision. He's feeling hurt. I understand, but I will no longer be his "yes girl". I have a right to my opinion even if we go his way.

He told me that I will likely get my way as there are no openings at the school he wants. We will have Kevin tested by their teachers and go on a wait list. So this will hang over our heads for a while.
    NEXT summer!!

Hugs and enjoy your day! I hope it's as gorgeous there as it is here! A nice reprieve from the rain.

Well, maybe it will be a really long waiting list. Or testing will indicate he should stay where he is. But the hanging over the head part sucks.

Sorry things are going this way. Why is he so adamant about changing schools?

He believes it is the best and fears that if Kevin does not go there, he will never reach his full potential.

Just because a school is the best it doesn't mean that it will automatically be the best fit for Kevin.

Oh, I have never reached, according to my siblings, my full potential but I AM HAPPY.

    You too, huh?

According to my teachers all through school (mama dint do no kollege) "If Julia just appliiiiiiiiiiied herself,
she'd be in a lot better place."

Yeah, obviously didn't give two craps then, don't now, am INCREDIBLY happy, and even withOUT "applying myself" was making 80K a year when I quit work to have kids. SO THERE.

    But me, bitter? Naw, never.

Anyway! Paula! I'm sorry this is going on.

Sometimes it seems as if the man in our lives isn't rallying for SOMETHING in his life
that he really can't do anything about, he feels worthless. So why not go balls out on
something he can be mad about and take it out on you? Not saying it's right one bit,
just how twisted their minds can be when they're feeling helpless.

Yeah well, I say get over it! Him, not you.

Kevin is going to be FINE wherever he goes. He has FANTASTIC parents that will NOT let
    him fail, EVER.

    This is the truth.

Hope you guys are having a pleasant Father's Day.

The father and his boys over here are still sleeping!!!

    Julia

My Final exam is today for 60 students. Tomorrow is grading all day. I will pop on when I can.

I ate what I wanted for Father's Day and didn't exercise. I made a wonderful Primal dinner-pork chops with Primal shake n bake, twice baked potatoes and a spring veg medley. We topped it off with chocolate cake and ice cream.

Bill and I have made peace. I read Kevin's psychological testing report. More on that and my realizations tomorrow or Wed.

    Back on W30 today.

    Have a great day all.
