Holy cow. Our students are already out and enjoying summer! Last full day of school was last Friday, with a partial day on Monday. Our teachers worked yesterday, but the parking lot was empty this morning when I dropped Brady off for the summer program.

We have 5 "inclement weather" days fit into the system. They only have to go longer if they use more than that. The year DD was a senior, they did, but she didn't have to stay longer because their exams had already been scheduled, the county gives senior exams off site. But DS did have to make it up, he was not a happy camper!

    my motivation

Things I choose to let go:

    All grains - including rice
    Refined sugars
    Legumes - including peanut butter
    Nuts and nut butters
    Alcohol and soda
    Chocolate
Acidic foods, such as pineapple and tomato
    Coffee and tea
    Eggs
    Curry
    White potato
    Dairy - including butter

I'm choosing to do this......... I don't HAVE to.

I'm doing this because I'm worth it - because I'm worthy - because I love myself.

Last night was my son Billy's last concert and the last time my sons will play onstage together in the concert band. Our music program was recently declared one of the best in the United States. The music was amazing. Mike also sings in the chorus. He put on quite a theatrical performance.

Band for Billy was not love. He started making noise about quitting in tenth grade, but we gave him a choice. "Band is one credit a year and Math is one credit a year. Choose your poison." He had accelerated out of math by the end of 10th grade. Anyway, he chose Band. I'm sure he is feeling celebratory today and will rejoice when I return his instrument at the end of this month.

I am still doing well with eating and exercise. My watch is spinning on my wrist. : )

No, but I am thinking a Wonder Woman watch may be in order for my birthday in August.
My watch is actually one of those metal clip ones that are a pain to adjust so I will just let it spin for the month as a reminder of the good work I am doing.

    WW watch, great idea!

You can also gauge your progress by how far it slips up your wrist?!
