Good Luck P, although I know you don't need it!

Gentlemen, I totally appreciate the grins that your comments have brought to me this morning! Imagine, P with her own groupies, another reason for me to be jealous of her voice.

Oh if you perform your groupie duties to my satisfaction, you will get a lot more than "Darling" from me.

Evaluation I am grateful that our department scored the AP that knows us well and just wants us to give him the proof he needs so that he can recommend us in the highest level categories. I had almost everything with me that he needed. I have to copy a few more "Proofs" and then I will be done.

It looks as if I will be given a three out of four or "Effective Teacher" That is good enough for me. We are all just learning the system this year.

lol..... depends on what you consider "satisfaction".... if you like "one hit wonders" you will have no need to belt out "Can't Get NO Satisfaction".....

We've had those kind of evaluations in place in Ohio for several years. Most are like you and say its BS.

Sounds like the start of a good week for you.

we have a fairly new evaluation system as well.. most years is no biggie, then every three years you have to provide artifacts as "proof".

We used to be on an every three year system. In the in between years we had to do Teacher growth projects. Now, 5 administrators have to evaluate all 175 teachers every year. Two full period in class visits, 3 full period one on one meetings. It is an insane amount of time and paperwork.

I'm so glad I didn't go into teaching........... I have the highest respect for good teachers!!! They not only put up with disrespectful, undisciplined children - but they also put up with all the administrative BS to PROVE they are being effective at their job! You have my utmost respect! All of you teachers deserve rewards.

+1 disgusting that there are "super stars" in movies, music, and sports that get paid obscene amounts and teachers, police, firemen, etc the people who really make a difference in our lives are not paid anywhere near what they are worth! A HUGE thank you to the teachers who made such a difference in my life, and the lives of so many others!!!!!! Hopefully, knowing the amazing influence you have and the incredible difference you make in peoples lives help to compensate for the crappy pay and benefits.
