According to paperwork, I'm 28. According to reality, I'm anywhere from 10 on up, depending on my mood and such.

Thanks Geo and everyone else. I am just getting started with the lifting program. I could probably have done higher weights on the MP and Row. One of the weight training "Italian Stallions" at the gym winced when he saw me do the military press in a standing position. He suggested sitting to protect my back. Rippetoe wants it done standing to engage the whole body. So I sat today, but I'll do some standing on days he is not there.

You could always say, "Thanks, but my trainer suggested I do it this way." I understand not wanting to though, I won't even set foot in a gym, let alone try to stand my ground .

To be fair to him he may have seen that you were compromising your form and was worried for your back. I think it would be fair to say why you are doing it that way and ask if he thought the problem was your personal form or just a weakness in the exercise itself.

I just hate the idea that I am being watched. This guy is a friend. We share a love of theater. He has hurt his own back doing things wrong so I'll listen to him for now. I woke in the middle of the night with my entire left leg numb, so maybe I did do it wrong.

I had the same issue each year until 30 hit and was fine again until 35. I'm not wanting 37 to hit at all tomorrow, whatsoever. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. All I know is that if I could hide in bed all day tomorrow, I would.
37 is GREAT!! 38 is GREAT!! Enjoy each one!! Happy Birthday!

My legs go numb when my hips are out of alignment. Make sure you do some stretches! I usually have to focus on my hamstrings, especially on the right side, and then it's much better. Sometimes I have to put some pillows under my knees while sleeping on my back and that helps too.

    Congrats on 1 week clean

I wonder why LHT make the weight go up? I'm obviously missing something here
