I told my husband last night is all these people my calendar age that look so old and act so old that make me feel like I'm old. And then I'm like, no, they decided to be old, I am not done with being young yet!

I feel old with the birthday being tomorrow. I've notice this in my 20's and am noticing the same with my 30's as well. I was fine up until turning the age of 25 and 35 respectively. I had the same issue each year until 30 hit and was fine again until 35. I'm not wanting 37 to hit at all tomorrow, whatsoever. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. All I know is that if I could hide in bed all day tomorrow, I would.

For me, age is just a number just like my scale weight is a number. They are information, sure, but very incomplete information. Both numbers say very little about who I am or what I accomplish. And I have very little control over either one apparently. I can do things that will help me make it to my next birthday and down to the next weight goal. And I can try to make sure I dont do things that will prevent that. But that is about it. No point dwelling on either number.

According to paperwork, I'm 28. According to reality, I'm anywhere from 10 on up, depending on my mood and such.

Thanks Geo and everyone else. I am just getting started with the lifting program. I could probably have done higher weights on the MP and Row. One of the weight training "Italian Stallions" at the gym winced when he saw me do the military press in a standing position. He suggested sitting to protect my back. Rippetoe wants it done standing to engage the whole body. So I sat today, but I'll do some standing on days he is not there.
