Snow Day! My kids will be happy. Unfortunately, I have to go to court for a speeding ticket, but at least I don't lose the personal day I had taken off from work. The snow should be stopped by this afternoon when I have to leave.
Last night's birthday party was great. Mike chose baked potatoes smothered in pork, veg and cheese as his dinner. My husband bakes the potatoes in the wood stove. It was an awesome, healthy dinner. Mike is an artist. I posted a clown drawing he did in this journal. Anyway he loved the travel easel we bought for him. My husband found the perfect messenger bag to carry it in. Now he is ready with his art supplies at a moment's notice.

Speeding tickets are not so great, but I guess they have to make money somehow. Good luck in court.

I've heard that if you dress nicely (business casual, or dressier) and are polite, they are perfectly reasonable. My friend was in an accident (his fault) and wore a suit and was honest about what happened and they gave him some community service hours.

The first time I saw snow again after I had not seen it in at least 35 years, I was amazed at all the things that hit my senses that I had forgotten about...how very quiet it seems, the smell, etc. it really is lovely
