Paula, I am hoping it is your router that is keeping you away and that you are not hiding from us. Hope all is well.

Yes, the router thing is a pain.

Eh, I've got nothing to hide. Binged for 3.5 days. Trying again today. Starting a 3 day Fat Fast.

Emotionally, I am feeling bad which is extending the binge. Financial Crap again along with the fear that I am killing myself with all this High Carb, Low Carb cycling. I wish the fear of dying would stop me from bingeing. Total drug addict behavior.

I am greatly encouraged by the success of the challenge thread.

I plan to get out of the house today to make some returns. We were snowed in yesterday. It is supposed to snow again tomorrow.

We had a White Christmas: 3 inches, but it all melted away yesterday. The perfect snow experience.

There was a White day after Christmas at home, which we aren't home for.

Sorry you're binging. I had a binge last night too. I have to agree with the addictive nature. I am finding it to be so hard to stop eating sugary stuff. It was easier for me to quit smoking!! (And stay away from it) It's so discouraging and depressing, and then all you do is eat more garbage. I feel your pain. I'm there with ya.

There's a replacement drug for those quitting heroin... there's a replacement drug for those quitting smoking... why isn't there a replacement drug for those of us quitting sugar?

Despite repeated requests that no one gift us sweets, our house is stocked with cookies and brownies and the like. So for example, I have some Scotch last night and then hmmmmm, my willpower ebbs, that brownie looks good... Screw it. After 1/1, no more. Still not going crazy, just a bite here and there.

Paula, tell me again why you are cycling LC and HC? If it feels like it's wreaking havoc on your body, then maybe you're pushing your body in a direction it shouldn't go. I tend to LC during the week (breakfast and lunch, when I don't IF), and then have more carbs on the weekend when I tend to be more active anyway. But sometimes too strict a regiment can be challenging.

There is. Unfortunately, it's caffeine. The reality is that all you're doing is changing addictions. I have yet to find a way for an addictive personality to drop addiction completely. Hell, all I've seen is "change it to something more acceptable," which I don't see as acceptable.

That'd be me, Naiad. When I do a whole30, I dream of the day that it's over so I can have something sugary again. I mentioned on FB last night that I think I need a 12 step program... lol

I believe the HC is unintentional, due to her binges, not because she wants to eat HC.
