It gets A LOT easier after the first week and the sugar (and other withdrawals) have calmed down a bit. By week 3, I usually feel beyond fantastic (makes me wonder why I stray).

Cheese platters have a lot to answer for, it's true.

I consider this day 2 of W30, but it is actually day 3 sugar/ grain carb free. I'm so happy.

Yay! I was on track today. Overspending for the month is helping me from going out to buy chocolate. I'm sure the sugar cravings will ease up in a day or two.

    Day3

I love how W30 takes away the bloat within days. Feeling a little disorganized this morning but we are coming off a 5 day weekend and I have guests.

Yesterday, I took my MIL shopping for groceries. At the checkout line, she kept grabbing stuff from my cart to pay for. I wrestled her over ground beef and salad. I lost.

This week I have a pre observation conference for my formal observation this year. I completed all of the paper work and the lesson plan yesterday, so I am ready. If they want to fire me after 20 years then good luck finding a teacher as fabulous as I am.

I don't know...if you can't wrestle a 70-year old woman into submission, you might not be tough enough for teenagers. Snort.

LOL Nice, Sabine. When that woman wants to pay for something there is no stopping her. She can be very pushy. Guess where my husband got it from? There are some things I take a stand on. Like the kid's bedtime. She wanted to continue playing pinochle at 10pm last night, but I said no.

She is a great manipulator, in the sweetest way possible, but I am of stoic German/English stock and will not budge once I have taken a stand. We have a balance of power in place.lol

Great job on your W30 so far! I am on day 2. Yesterday was a great day and I expect today to be great as well. Feeling sleepy - must be starting the carb flu. I knew it was time to do a W30 b/c my mood has gone to pot recently. In order to keep my depression in check, I need to eat properly. My depression presents itself as moodiness and irritability - my patience wears real thin real fast and I get downright bitchy. I've been on that roller coaster for about 6 weeks now. Time to clean it up and get back on track or risk making a lot of people unhappy - including myself. Glad to have a buddy along the way!

Families.. I learn just to be saran wrap.. its not worth the aggravation, unless its a parenting issue. Some hills are worth dying on.
