Paula, have you checked to make sure that you can just stop taking Prozac without any ill effects. I mean that there are some medications that the body needs to be weened off of, I don't know if Prozac is one of them. It might be that you need to do a very reduced dose on the "off" days, and increase the dose on those 14-28 days?

Sabine and Chris The Prozac will build up to a good level at just at the right time. Using 20mg of Prozac on days 14-28 of your cycle is a common PMS/PMDD treatment. The Brand name is Sarafem., I think. I did not have any symptoms when I stopped it 16 days ago and getting back on has gone smoothly as well.

I am going to stay VLC with higher fat.

I will add L-glutamine in the afternoons as needed.

I will use my distraction list to postpone a binge. ie. dance around to loud music, exercise

I will duct tape my mouth shut from dinner to bed time when things get really bad.

Heehee. Will you at least draw lips on the duct tape, a la Sam Rockwell for Drew Barrymore in 'Charlie's Angels'?

Good Idea. Maybe it will cause less issues with my family.

ARGH! Some one is being a big A-HOLE and it is pissing me off. I think that I will go to bed early. That is all.

Well, I have made 1 week clean. I have not had a clean week in months. I have lost about 10 lbs of bloat this week and am starting to feel physically better. The wt. loss will likely slow down now because my set point is probably in low 230's.

I am very proud that I did not binge last night. I was very angry, but I just let myself feel the anger. I completed my preparation for today and went to bed. Even better, I was able to express affection for this person and help snap them out of their mood.

Pebbles, that's great. Conquering your emotions is a hard thing to do.

Not to be a downer, but be alert for a 'rebound' binge today. Sometimes when my better self triumphs over emotional eating, I am surprised by a reaction the next day, as if my brain is just waiting for me to let down my guard, and then insisting on the reaction it is used to.

    Congratulations on a full week.

    Thanks Ladies.

Sabine, I hear you and have experienced the same backlash as you. I call it "I've been such a good girl"syndrome. I will keep an eye out for it.

Today I have a super long day in store. That could also be a trigger if I am not careful.
