OK um, maybe I wasn't clear. I was worried about eating it, not about what they made.
The rules for this second party are somewhat lax, but by spanish, I meant any food from the spanish speaking world. Empanadas are big in central and south america, chocolate, tortilla chips salsa etc are also acceptable donations if they want to eat. It isn't mandatory, I give bonus points for actually cooking something. In October, they had a formal food project in which they had to make an actual spanish dish and bring in the recipe.

I was sooooo good. I didn't eat any party food, just the lunch I brought from home. Now I have to guard against the "backlash binge" because my brain thinks I deprived myself.
