I love that dress, I want one, except in my colors (more toward the warm tones-peaches oranges etc).

Check kohl's.com. I think they may have one more in line with those colors.

The May Day ceremony is over. I videoed some of it to show you guys. It will be very choppy, but you should get the picture.

In other news, today is my youngest son's 8th birthday. Due to asperger's syndrome he has always seemed younger than other kids. Lately though, He seems to have turned a corner. He has developed his communication skills more and even has a sense of humor. My littlest dude is growing up. Good for him. Pizza, cupcakes and ice cream tonight.

I also found out that the belly dance performance that I was going to miss has been rescheduled for the weekend after WW closes. So, I can do both if I want. Maybe I'll skip the party food tonight. :P

First read through on WW is tomorrow at 2pm. Looking forward to getting started.

Due to the fact that Ulster County NY is only 90 min due north of NYC, we have a lot of very talented artists, actors and musicians who have moved into the area. (Not to mention that it is beautiful here.) Anyway, one of these transplants is my voice teacher, a well known jazz trumpeter and composer. I started working with her a month ago in preparation for the audition. Yesterday we decided that she would teach me some jazz standards, how to scat and maybe some piano. We worked on the Gershwin song "summertime". At the end of the lesson she said, "I'm having an outdoor concert here soon. Maybe you would like to sing in it?"

I said I'd love to, but wasn't sure I could due to the WW practice schedule. I'm still a little stunned.
I once mentioned in someone else's journal that my dream is to sing with a band. This would be a big step in that direction. Maybe she'll do another concert later in the summer.
