I am on my third day of a whole 30ish plan. I dropped dairy, artificial sweeteners and made fruit only a 1x/week thing. I hate to admit it, but I feel much less crazed over carbs. My weight is moving down.
I made a temporary change in my iodine intake. I am back down to 2.5mg or one drop. I also lowered the celtic salt to 1/4 tsp.
My first reason for doing this was the audition. On 7.5mg and 5mg, I still had an achey throat and a weak, gravelly voice. Yesterday, on the lowered dose, my voice was the best I've heard it lately.
The second reason was vanity. I know that the higher level of Iodine is causing me to hold water weight. I want to look good tomorrow night.
Oddly, I felt happier and more energetic yesterday than the previous days on the higher dosages. Heck, I may stay at 2.5. It is still at least 10 times more iodine than most people get.
