I admire you so. While I can speak in front of a small-sized crowd on a subject I know (like work), the thought of acting completely terrifies me.

I miss acting. Unfortunately, around here, unless you sing, your SOL. Musical theater is huge in the midwest and not much else gets seen.

Hey Paula - glad that you're feeling better - and having so much fun! Hope this trend continues.
I feel like I ought to be wearing a bumper sticker that says: "Don't follow me I am lost." I am just a seeker like everyone else.

Glad some of the water finally flushed out! YAY!!

The reading sounds great as does the Willy Wonka story. I've never done any acting and really don't think I'd be cut out for it. I admire your lifestyle for sure! I picture you living in a NY apartment practicing your lines in front of the windows overlooking a busy street below.

Lol. It's more like...picture me in a cabin in the woods practicing my lines while i look out the window at my goat and he thinks to himself, "what the heck is that strange human doing?".

Wt. down again 2.5 lbs. Hopefully on Sunday I'll hit the same wt as last week. What a ride!

Speaking of animals looking at me oddly, I have set up a singing studio in my basement. Last night as I did scales and worked on my solo, two of my cats looked on in horrified fascination. Later as I was singing some of my favorite Broadway tunes, my youngest son Kevin yelled from the top of the stairs "Hey what's going on down there?" Then he came down with his hands over his ears and said "Mom, what are you doing?" Lest you think I am a terrible singer let me explain that He has Asperger's and loud noises bother him. The good news is he stayed with me to listen and play with some toys.

I have this fabulous tape program called "Born to Sing". It is old and kind of silly, but teaches good technique. My breathing and control seriously need some work.

    2nd voice lesson today.

Well, most people run from me, and it is because I'm a terrible singer

This is me too. I sound more like a manly cat scratching its claws on the chalk board. Not a pretty sound lol.

I have what's referred to as a "bucket voice". Given someone else to help carry the bucket (i.e. sing with), I do perefectly fine. Without the help.... you just don't wanna hear that.
