I am in awe of teachers and the knowledge they possess and are able to pass on to, often, uninterested souls.

Today is the one year anniversary of a monster thread I started called "Feeling Sexy". The cool thing is that somebody posted in it and therefore resurrected it on Monday.

This week, I really needed the reminder that there are benefits to this lifestyle that are not about weight.

Woot Woot for feeling sexy. I hope your Wednesday goes well.
somehow I manage to leave my intelligence and decorum at the door wherever I go. I doubt your journal will be an exception to that - not on the rug

Hi Paula, hope you have a great day! I'm woefully behind on threads, but will catch up someday. Your thread reminds me of the silly song now playing on the radio...the one that goes "I'm sexy and I know it" I like it and often think of it. There are tons of benefits to this lifestyle

Since I've lost a lot of weight also, I prefer to think of the stalls as catching up to myself. I mean, if we lost all our weight in a month only to gain it back next month, the yo-yo effect is much worse than not loosing at all. When I snack or binge as some may call it, I make sure I don't eat SAD poison foods. It's usually something like yogurt or nuts, so while I am treating myself (trying to avoid nuts and dairy), I am not damaging myself. I am also able to catch myself either before or in the act and think about why I am eating when not planned. Sometimes I can stop myself now, when in the past, I was like a leaf in the wind with no control over where I was headed. I'll bet we have all made a lot of progress in this area and need to congratulate ourselves!
