    Statins and alzheimers.

Anybody care to comment on a possible link between the increase in statin usage and alzheimers.
The ridiculous need to lower overall serum cholesterol (in the U.K.) by the medical profession seems to correlate with, what appears to me,a significant rise in alzheimers. Is this the case in the U.S.?

    Megalodon,

My favorite Cardiologist, Dr. Wm Davis has nothing good to say about Statins, except to get off of them ASAP. Read his comments here:
    http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/search?q=statins

The whole concept is dead wrong according to Dr. Davis, and he gives very good reasons.

He also says this about Alzheimers:

It is the Vitamin D Deficiency that causes mass disease including Alzheimers. See my Vitamin D Report below.
