Now I know the best option is to prepare Butters (my 6-year-old bulldog) some homemade primal food right along with mine. But I'm just not ready to commit to that yet. However, I do love my rescue dog and want her to live as long as possible. Any recommendations on healthy dog food that is relatively cheap? Something that won't require a daily preparation? Her current $45 bag of Royal Canin lasts about 2 months.
Am I wrong in assuming that dogs' nutritional needs would be similar to ours and that primal could benefit my pooch as well?
Thanks!

I use this stuff:

The canned formula.
And I pour some coconut oil/walnut oil, or some other fat on top.
It's significantly helped with one of my dogs extreme allergies.
And so far has been saving me $100+ a month in medication.

I feed Bailey (1 year old cockapoo) Canidae but her formula is not grain-free, but it is corn-free. I've been happy so far, though. They do make a grain-free formula.

JamieBelle,
My dog with the allergies is also a cockapoo
She's 3 years old.
Here's a pic of me on the top of Mt. Si with her

And this is our other dog "Lucky" (9 months old.)
He's half Poodle, half Lasa Apso (spelling?)
He's a "Lhasapoo."

JamieBelle,
That's an awesome pic!
Our "poos" could be cousins.
That could be taken WAY out of context, and I hope it never is...
