I'll be posting what I ate, just for the heck of it. Longer posts will probably end up in my blog--it's a great way to get me blogging more.
Duck eggs/bacon/cheddar scramble, tea w/cream
Chocolate butter, more tea
Cheese, pork liver pâté, olives, chocolate butter
Chocolate butter is the great fat vehicle I got from Peter @ his Hyperlipd blog. Here's my "recipe".
Melt a pack of Kerrygold, turn down the heat a lot and add 2 bars of dark chocolate. Stir completely. Splash in a tiny amount of cream and a teaspoon of vanilla. Mix gently and pour into ice cube trays then freeze. Sprinkle sea salt on top if desired. Pop out when solid and store in the fridge or freezer.

It's amazing how my body fat is melting off. Since I am so close to my " natural " weight, it is taking a while, like 1/2 pound loss a week. I think this is what Martin at LeanGains estimated for lean folk.
All I am doing for exercise is about 15 min of body weight and free weight work , BBS-style and 1-2 hours of gentle walking/biking/hiking per day.

What is your vit D recommendation?
I'm looking at this. Selenium is not found in our local soil, and I thought this might be beneficial.
I just realized that I'm barely getting any sun these days, and I'm not using the solarium, so. . .yeah. I think supplementation is necessary. I'd love your feedback on this one.
Also, ordering from the US is a problem. Customs stops it and sends it back (if you don't have a prescription). But if i buy it in-country, then it's no problem.

NM. I found it on your blog. I've been doing magnesium for a bit (a couple of weeks), and now want to start up on the Vit D.

Cool. If you need to order in-country then this one is better:
Brazil nuts are a good source of selenium. Unfortunately, I am allergic to them!

I read on the internet today that you can't get above 1000IU in NZ without a prescription. But, looking at some of the research, I probably need to dose a bit more to start out. I'm not sure; I haven't been tested (and testing here is frowned upon overall -- i might see if our naturopath can order it, though).
One of my clients gave me this magnesium spray. That's been interesting.
Also, I do my brazil nuts for selenium (we all do at least two per day).
