    Question Why is it?

    Primal Fuel
That when somebody gives up caffeine and feels bad CW tells them to stick with it and get passed the addiction, they c/o headaches, fatigue, anxiety, etc.

When someone c/o the SAME EXACT symptoms when you go low carb you are told to hurry up and add them back in because your body NEEDS them.

Yeah, it needs extra carbs the same way a smoker needs nicotine, a coffee addict needs caffeine and an alcoholic needs an adult beverage.

Because a lot of people don't do much thinking for themselves.

LOL that is so true. From now on I'm gonna compare carb detox to caffeine detox. People might actually get it then.

"What luck for those in power that people do not think" - Hitler

That quote is always attributed to him, but I haven't fact-checked.

I wouldn't be so sure that people are accepting of caffeine detox, either. Caffeine (coffee in particular) is almost as mainstream as grains...

For example: I didn't have carb withdrawal headaches...but I sure have had one for the past two days since I gave up my ONE cup of coffee a day. And funnily (is that a word?) enough, both friends I have mentioned this to have suggested I take a caffeine pill to alleviate the pain. Um, kind of defeats the purpose...

I considered adding a smilie, but somehow it seemed cheap. Thanks for justifying my faith!

ps. Did you just coin "irony giggle"? It seems such an unlikely phrase.

basically, that's what sealed it for me. if my body really needed sugar, my response to being without it wouldn't be the same as my friends' responses to being without cigarettes.
