Thankyouthankyouthankyou for making this sticky Mark. It's much more encompassing than I had hoped for. I'm soooo glad you did this.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

i've got a really boring basic question about the forum itself, are the different colour icons for the titles or any relevance?

    Hey, everyone!

I just completed a three-part guide meant as an intro to the Primal/Paleo lifestyle. I posted it in the Resources section and people seemed to like it, so hopefully it's fine that I toss it up here too.

    Hope it helps!

Hi, Mi name is Des and I am a newbie. I have a couple of questions and hope someone could answer them.
    1. I have no time (right now... maybe in future) to make the almond nor coconut milk from scratch. Any suggestions on where and what brand I can purchase? I have a Whole Foods store near me.
    2. I have a bad left knee and was advised by my ortho just to do walking on flat surfaces to avoid further injury and avoid strenous aerobic exercises or running. Will just walking every other day be a good substitute for the pushups, squats and lunges? I can't do sprints either
    3. So can we occasionally consume whole milk? If yes, how often can I have it?
    4. Can I use yacon syrup as a sweetener for my coffee?

Thank you very much and I am so excited to be embarking on this 21 day challenge!!

"To skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

This is TOTALLY my new favorite quote. Putting it on a sticky note NOW!

I'm very new to this primal thing, still trying to figure out the food. I've got lunch and dinner handled, but I have NO idea what to do for breakfast. I am allergic to eggs, milk (specifically whey protein so no shakes or yogurt for me), and nuts. Anyone have any suggestions? All I can come up with is bacon, onions, and brussels sprouts, which is DELICIOUS but a lot of work first thing in the morning, and a lot of salt!

Love the quote! I just started today so I will watch this question with interest. I, too, am allergic to eggs and lactose intolerant. And although I like nuts - they don't seem to like me too much. I have the additional problem in that I have ulcerative colitis which means I can't eat too much veg in one go. So it's going to be tricky!
For breakfast today I had bacon & tomatoes. I tried to have 25g protein as I read somewhere - but it was far too much and after an hour my body had, er, evacuated! Sorry, TMI. So tomorrow I'm going to try half the amount and see how I get on. I'll be interested to see any other breakfast suggestions. I don't really fancy (or can't really afford!) to have another full on meat-meal for breakfast either.
