hello all...i'm 12 days in and have given up grains completely...but not sugar. I have fruit (maybe one or two servings per day, some days none) and every night I have a small scoop of ice cream. Other than that, everything else is primal...breakfast is a primal omelette, lunch a primal salad, dinner is chicken or salmon with vegetables. I excercise 3x per week, about 30 minutes on the elliptical. It's a start! I'm 5'4" and 138. I feel great but I'm not losing an ounce...in fact I've gained a pound or two! Any suggestions?

Wish i'd found this type of lifestyle and forum earlier in my life
Would have been an urban grok right now
Yet - at 24 - it's not late, it's actually NEVER too late for a good change....the right change!
    Thanks, Alex

Ditch the ice cream - i think fruits are in the "allowed" zone, as long as you don't over-eat them!
Also - elliptical isn't a bad form of exercise - try doing it backwards, it's a better form of exercise. Also give a chance to some squats and push-ups and whatever works for you - for the start! Bodyweight training are a great form of cheap exercise (eg : not needing to buy equipment or going to the gym) - even Mark endorses these!
Good luck and ... just ditch the ice cream, replace it with a primal smoothie that you can freeze and enjoy AS ice-cream
