Why can I envisage Vitamin D 'enriched' Pepsi in the not-too-distant future...?

    Cynical? Moi?

Government involvement in anything is a bad idea.

I would much rather vote for repealing Obamakare.

My trainer was just telling me this morning that the coordinator at the breast care center next door said that there is a direct correlation between vitamin D deficiency and breast cancer (as well as MS). The trainer was saying isn't it interesting that here in the Pacific Northwest (where, as you'd imagine, most of the residents are vitamin D deficient from lack of sunshine) that the rates of both breast cancer and MS are through the roof.

I thought that conversation this morning was timely as, just this weekend, I'd finally been worn down by y'all and decided I was going to start supp'ing vitamin D and did the calculation for how much I'm to take. I am going to order through the site where cillakat gets hers.

Yeah.... The first cancer in which this was noticed? Melanoma. Lower serum 25(OH)D = greater risk of melanoma. It also = greater risk of dying from any cancer. Or stroke. Or heart disease. Or developing type I diabetes. Or developing any autoimmune disorder.

It also looks like there is something going on with autism, learning disabilities and cognitive function.

The trainer was saying isn't it interesting that here in the Pacific Northwest (where, as you'd imagine, most of the residents are vitamin D deficient from lack of sunshine) that the rates of both breast cancer and MS are through the roof.
This is true the world over wrt cancer, autoimmune disorders, autism and learning disabilities. Northerly latitudes have more of all of the aforementioned. It's especially horrifying to see what's happening to autism and autoimmune rates when dark skinned persons from say Somalia, move to northerly latitudes. Just heartbreaking. There has been an explosion of autism and autoimmune issues in Somali immigrants now living far away from the equator.
