As a night shifter, I've noticed that all my coworkers have different ways of managing things. Some can sleep in daylight, others need to black out the room. Some sleep right after work, others just before. It all depends on what else is going on in your life. There's no one-size-fits all method for shift work.
Are you working weird days or is it something consistent?
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.
