    Kefir with FOS?

    Primal Fuel
My mom's at the store right now, and she's looking at some kefir -- however, the ones at the store have FOS. Is there anything bad about FOS? Should we go for the store kind?

Thanks for any input! Also -- what can I add it to?

I know nothing about this but a quick google search lead me to this http://www.bacteriapimp.com/13.html and they seem to think FOS isn't great. Sorry I don't have any knowledge better then that to share.

A few say the store bought stuff with FOS is bad, others have a different opinion. The point is to try the store bought and see if you like it. If you do, it's easy to get the grains and brew the stuff yourself.

What do you add to it? Gee, go to you tube and type in 'Kifer smoothies' and a bunch of vids come up. I usually put either (previously) frozen strawberries or a bagged mix of strawberries/rasberries/blackberries and blueberries in a blender with the Kifer and blend it up. I do add a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar and blend that in as well.

You know, some of you need to lighten up a bit. I'm talking in a smoothie that is almost a quart of liquid. If you don't want to use it, then don't.

Mostly because for what ever reason I can't search for stuff AT ALL on this site. It always says 'no matches found' even when I know darn well there ARE matches for what I typed in. So I'm stuck with browsing for stuff. Google is easier! PLUS we need to remember to look for outside sources. It is NEVER a good idea to base all your beliefs on information from one source (IMO!)
