How many ground beef calories is it?
On my ground beef that I buy, it has one calorie number for RAW and COOKED. Now, the raw number is always higher and I'm wondering if I don't drain the fat from the cooked beef, am I really consuming the cooked calorie number. To me, if I eat the fat, I'll be eating the raw calorie number Thoughts?
FYI: 4 oz of raw beef is around 370 calories, cooked is 250....
I get a very lean grass fed ground beef and it has 270 per 4oz. I'd have to say that they are talking about draining off the excess fat but I normally use that fat to cook the onions and mushrooms.
