Just wondering what the oil recommendation is with this way of eating. Is extra virgin olive oil preferred to just plain olive oil? I had been buying the cold pressed olive oil, but it smells strange when heated and tastes funny on salads as a dressing. I would much rather just have plain old olive oil if given a choice only I had read that the cold pressed oils are better for you health wise.
You shouldn't be heating olive oil and other mono/polyunsaturates anyway.
If you prefer the regular olive oil over the extra virgin on your salads, then just go for it. But use saturated fats (coconut oil, butter, ghee, lard, tallow) for cooking.
