Aussie Blog - Fed Up and Ready for Change
I am Jason, 29 and I live in Sydney Australia. I am am sick and tired and fed up of not getting results. Why you may ask am I not getting results? Because I eat most things I shouldn't!. I currently weight around 230 or 110kg.
I used to be addicted to full sugar coke and now I substatuite it for Coke Zero which is 80% of my fluid intake. I am here to be honest and accountable for my actions and to take the next 3 months to truly change and achieve greatness as so many have done on this site.
I work for the Government and their always seems to be some gathering or meeting where there is cakes, chips, soda and all the other crap they offer.
My workouts are VERY regular which is why my eating habits are letting me down BIGTIME. Why do i work out so much only to be pushed back by bad eating habits? Its silly i know!
My work out
1. Monday = Morning walk/jog 35 mins before work with a friend ----> Afternoon = walk to gym 4km then Weights for 45 mins then walk home 4km
2. Tuesday = Walk/job intermittent for 30-50 mins or day off
3. Wednesday = Same as Monday
4. Thursday = Day Off or Walk/jog intermittent in the afternoon - 30-50 mins
5. Friday = Same as Monday and Wednesday
6. Weekend = REST or light walk or incidental activity
No its clear my eating habits are the killer here. I love the way primal foods tastes but I also love the traditional crap foods like pizza and ice cream.
I hope everyone here can help me along and look for inspiration in what I am doing and making one last final stand before i turn 30 on April 12th 2011.
I have attached a few pictures of myself taken in the last few days + a big ass Salad with Avocado, turkey, tomato, broccoli, and mixed greens with Honey Mustard dressing.

Welcome Jason. Looks like you've got exercise sorted. But you'll really need to work on the diet. Give up the soda completely - water, tea, even coffee is better.
Feel free to bounce ideas off people in this blog. Plenty of people willing to help here

No more soda. That is your big hurdle this week. My advice (and I know others here may disagree) - go very low carb, cut out all sugar and grain and processed food this week. It will make it easier to cut the soda. Sugar (in any form) makes you want more sugar, so I think its the best starting point to 'clean' eating. Not having 'grey' areas, makes it easier to just ignore the work treats shoved in your face too. Good luck!
Yeah im going to do it this time. No ifs, buts or any bullcrap this time. The soda is killer to give up. Even just to drop down to limited quantities would be a great start.
Im will be posting daily updates and food logs of whats going on. Im accountable and have posted slogan of my bedroom mirror + bathroom mirror to motivate me!!!

Due to my weight the walking/jogging combo is mostly 30 second jogs followed by a few minutes walk and so on. Then i repeat the jogging and cooling down for more intense work outs.
NOOO! Just stop the soda. Its killing you in so many ways. Promise yourself to just go one day ... and see how different you feel.

Not to beat a dead horse, but the Zero Coke desensitizes your tongue just as much as the full sugar Coke. I think it keeps alive the link to the other junk foods.
BTW, you actually look pretty good in the photos.
Trust me Sam its decieving. I guess i hold the weight pretty well for a 6" 2 tall guy. My mate at work is with me aswell. Hes lost a fair asmount of weight so normally we have lunch together at work and really eat well. We bascially motivate each other for results.
This morning I have had breakfast and will post a daily update tonight...
