    Should I eat less at dinner?

    I usually eat dinner at around 7-8 these days, and I go to sleep at around 8:45 to 9:30. Do you guys think I should eat less? Before, I used to eat until I was bloated but I think by eating less my food will actually get digested ... Thoughts?

    To quote Griff's sig: - eat until you are satiated NOT STUFFED. There's no point in eating until you're FTB! I couldn't go to bed that early (I'd not sleep) and ISTR Byron Richards saying something about not eating immediately before bed (I have his book Mastering Leptin, which I've skimmed through, but not read in any depth yet (it's next on the pile after Taubes)). There is a good reason, but I forget what it is, but I'll dig it out and find the relevant passage (unless anyone else here can tell you).

    Yikes, you eat supper 2 hours later than me and go to bed an hour or more earlier than I do. I think I'd try to eat earlier if possible...

    If it's not possible, I think I'd try eating more earlier, and keeping supper smallish. Eating a huge meal at 8 and going to bed at 8:45 some nights... that's cutting it kind of close, IMO.

    Maybe make the evening meal a smaller fare and have your large meal during the day or breakfast. It is hard for digestion to be in a prone position and entirely still.

    I think I'd benefit from some of these tips. Most days I fast at least 16 hours and break my fast post-workout with my largest meal usually around 4:30-5:00 p.m. I feel like to get in the nutrition I need that I almost have to eat another meal, which is usually around 9:00 and I try to get to bed by 10:30. I think I might do better eating a late lunch pre-workout instead, but I really like working out fasted. Dilemma! Any suggestions?

    why do you fast for 16 hours every day?
    i think fasting once a week is recommended.
