I would like it. I need to find someone who needs wood chopped. Chopping wood is fun as hell and a good work out.
I really love slamming a sledgehammer around (what happened to that shovel glove dude?) for a workout.
I may just do sledgehammer work, or do a quick intense round with the barbell/dumbbells then polish off with some hammer work. I've found that it works the little tiny muscles very well, I've gotten that 'cool tone' that i've been wanting for years (although granted i've been very strict with diet so that's probably helping).
It's fun to whack a big tyre, or pretend to have other 'scenarios' while working out, as crazy as that sound it really helps out.

yeah, i do shovelglove sometimes
Gee, I seem to split a lot of wood but I find moving big rounds, especially lifting them onto the splitting table (maybe 90cm off the deck), pushing them under the hydrolic splitter and then throwing the drying pile a better workout than when swinging a splitting maul. Some of those big wet rounds don't weigh much less than I do!
Heck YES!!
I do it for a fat burning workout + I consider it a good ab workout as well - My obliques (love handles) get an amazing workout.
Here's a good beginner workout I'd like to share if I haven't already...
let me warn you though... start off light with a 8-10 pounder and then work your way up to the 20 pounder
I actually help people build muscle fast to look good naked - Seriously, I do this for a living and have fun doing it!
Yup I have one and I work out with that sometimes - it's fun
Sassy: Revised - my primal log
I'm a big shovelglove/sledgehammer user. I have a 16lb one. Workouts are very intense and lots of fun.

I love training with a sledge for the upcoming zombie apacolypse
