    ketosis

    Primal Fuel
    I have been doing the pb lifestyle for the last 3 months with great success but have lately found that i'm in ketosis. (bad breathe, very poor sleep and poor balance) Is this because I'm not eating enough veggies and fruit? How do I correct this problem and insure that it does not continue.

    One thing I've noticed about ketosis.. my breath is bad and I have no idea what to do other than to coat my tongue in peppermint oil! Thoughts?

    Using a tongue scraper regularly helps.

    What makes you believe it to be a problem? Have you been reading all those scare stories bandied about by sites against (V)LC dieting? They are - mistakenly - or deliberately - confusing it with ketoacidosis, which is only a problem if you're diabetic and, yes, this can be life-threatening.

    Ketosis, OTOH, is perfectly safe, perfectly natural, result of low carbing (I'm deliberatly aiming to get back there myself, just to make my life a tad less stressful!) and has many benefits.
