    you know. if something affects my perception of the world, i don't think i'll imbibe while with child. cause if i party, my kid's partying with me

    My lactation consultant said I could have the occasional glass of red wine while breastfeeding. That is nice. When I'm having a particularly horrid day the half glass will help me chill out a touch. But I'm not entirely sure I agree with drinking while pregnant. That idea still squicks me out.

    I don't think consuming a glass or two of wine while pregnant will be more harmful than stuffing oneself full of grains and sugar.

    Official advice remains that women abstain completely during pregnancy.
    I so agree with that. No one knows at what level alcohol consumption becomes problematic and if there may be genetic differences in the levels of sensitivity.

    It's so not worth the risk.
