    The total cost for EVERYTHING is $39, but hurry before the sale ends.

    That's pretty sweet! Lol, I've been wanting to check my Vit D and this sounds like a great time to do it.

    directlabs.com is great. They use labcorp which is exactly what you want for D testing.

    One day later our results are posted for us to see privately online.
    Mine 32 ng/ml
    Wife 29.5 ng/ml

    We both started supplementing yesterday after the blood draw with Carlson gels.

    And even though summer just left us..... What was your sun exposure like? Your latitude? Chances are you'll both need about 3000-4000 IU per day to hit optimal levels. However, your levels are still propped up from summer so unsupplemented, they would drop even further. You may need more than that - like 5,000-6,000 IU per day.

    It'd be worth testing again in February or so.

    Latitude = 36-30'31'' N
    2 trips to the beach this year and we are avid mountain bikers. We love the outdoors but most of the time is spent in the woods under the cover of the trees.
    Worth noting I think...my wife has had her thyroid removed b/c of cancer.
    We have started 2,000 iu 2x daily but may take that to 6,000 per your advice and retest in Feb.
    Awesome boards, threads, and people! Thanks

    I think I'd go with 4,000 IU and see how it looks in february or march.
