    Is this considered low carb?

I'm just wondering, when I eat lots of meat or eggs, is that considered low carb or are there still carbs in meat? I'm trying to distinguish it because I thought that everything you eat has carbohydrates in it ...

I am not one of the more educated on this site but meat is low carb. have you tried fitday.com? plug some food in there and it will give you a macronutrient breakdown.

Eggs have like 1 gram of carbs per egg. Not a big deal. Meat does not have carbs in it.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

    Can you brown your meat?

Try googling "maillard reaction". That's why.

But in short, no, not much.

Jeff: 317g carbs as your pictures shows is a really really high number. Try to get it down to under 150 atleast.

Jeff, your carbs do seem a bit high for that day. At your age, weight and gender you do seem to be burning your fuel and not gaining weight. I suspect the high carbs for this day are due to the pizza. The pizza is also probably why you felt nauseated afterward....it was probably the sudden consumption of grains in the crust. Your other menus seem fine though.

Also, I suggest taking your fish oil and multivitamin with or right after breakfast. Fat soluble vitamins need the fat in foods to work properly and other supplements work better when taken with meals. Also, taking a multivitamin on an empty stomach can make you nauseous.
