    ... "for a limited time" - hah! I bet.

Thing is, reading the article made me think "hey, that's almost primal!"

The sandwich uses two boneless chicken fillets in place of the bun then squeezes two pieces of bacon, two slices of processed pepper jack cheese and some sauce in between.

"Individually, they're each delicious," Howe said. "But putting them all together is epic. Just delicious."
I mean, they have the right idea, they're just screwing up the details.

While low in carbs, this diet-destroying dish has 540 calories, 30 grams of fat and a whopping 1,740 milligrams of sodium.
Well, PB aint a diet, and fat aint the devil, and sodium is expendable. It's still a valid template.

"We tell people there's so much premium seasoned chicken, we didn't have room for a bun," Howe said.
Hey! I don't have room for a bun either! Maybe this is just the sandwich for me. Well, not this exact sandwich, a better one, fantasy sandwich 2.0. A primal sandwich - a perfectly delicious oxymoron for me to eat.

So I've done my job - I'm an ideas guy. You tell me how make it. Plz?

Hmmm...I'm no culinary expert (but am a bit of a smartass at times lol), but I would think that it would be pretty easy to come up with a reasonable facsimile of their sodium-laden concoction. Bake/cook some bacon, fry the flattened chicken pieces in the fat...put em together with cheese and bacon mayo or apple butter on the inside?

    Here you go:

and the special bacon sauce recipe:

Cleochatra's recipes and blog are very well known in the low carb community. There are a lot of great recipes on her site that are primal. Enjoy.

ETA: Her review on the KFC Grilled Double Down is pretty funny (and accurate too):

Texture: The chicken was fabulously cooked, but the insides were slippery as snot on a porcelain doorknob and about as flavorful
