    I'm ba-ack!!

Had an awesome time. I'm fat, brown and exhausted.

I ate way too much rice and drank far too many pina coladas and bintangs (Indonesian pilsner beer). We walked, swam, lay about, shopped, lay about some more, went jet-skiing (my absolute new favourite thing ), had a million massages and basically just had a brilliant time.

I have some photos which I'll get around to loading over the weekend and I'll catch up on everyone's blogs then too. Right now, I'm so looking forward to falling into my own bed and sleeping for 10 hours.

    Hope you're all well

Thanks lovely people, I did have an amazing time, I wanna go back NOW!

    Ok, here's some photos...

How I spent at least 50% of my time in Bali...

    The view from our room...

Pete and I after many cocktails...

Me drinking one of said cocktails, this one was a Long Island Iced Tea I believe...

For DR, one of my many coconuts, it cost about 30c at a little Warung by the sea...

You see this everywhere... coconut or Bintang?

Ok, some more. Here's a selection of Balinese food porn...

This was breaky most days, poached eggs, bacon, Nasi Goreng (Indonesian for fried rice) and a large coffee...

Here we have one of our dinners at our favourite restaurant, Bumbu Bali. It's one of the few places that actually serves traditional Balinese food. The flavours are out of this world.
On the metal smoker we have barbequed pork ribs that we ended up eating nearly everyday. They're marinated and slow-cooked then finished off over charcoal before serving. The skewers are tempeh. The large bowl has a creamy duck curry with green papaya. The two sauces at the front are peanut sauce for the tempeh and bbq sauce for the ribs. There's also a green papaya and chicken salad, a star-bean salad , pickles and fried chilli and garlic.

Dessert. Mango ice-cream and a mixture of coffee and coconut ice-cream. All home-made...

More ribs, a potato and chicken curry, more salads, pickles and sauces...

Here's a photo of Pete and I forming part of the food chain in a fish spa. These little fish suction all the dead skin off your feet leaving them smooth and soft. It feels amazing...

    ... and a close-up (that's Pete's leg btw, I like to shave occasionally)...
