    Saturated Fats Research

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
I posted in the research thread too, but it doesn't look like many know the answer. My dad is asking for scientific studies on the effects of saturated fat, before they actually eat fat.

I'm trying to get my parents on board with primal, but they're those type of people that needs some sort of scientist to show that they're not going to die of a heart attack next month. He's 65, she's 63, and they're worried they can't do it. Anybody know where I can send them? I had them read Mark's book, and it got the idea in their head, but didn't push them over the edge.

    Thanks!
    boom.

Tell them to read Good Calories Bad Calories and then go online and look up as many of the referenced studies they'd like to. The information is all in there. I did this to convince myself and I learned a lot.

I second (or third, or whatever) the suggestion to give him GCBC.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

    - If it was cute and cuddly at some point, eat it. Ignore everything else. -

    - Food is first, and foremost, nothing more than fuel. -

    - The body is animal. The mind, however, is not. -

That should be a good start.

    +1

When I wanted some scientific material someone directed me to "Good Calories, Bad Calories," and it was a huge help. If you, or your parents, are even slightly scientifically minded then it is a great resource for references.
