Today I'm 52, and this morning I ran the 5K Harvest Fair Run. I took 1st place in my age division, and I exceeded my personal goal for time. Did it in 29:01. Quite respectable for someone who absolutely detests running!

It's pretty funny that I did this for my birthday, because I loathe running. I'm more of a boot-camp, weight-lifting kind of gal. But I did it just to shut up all the folks at my gym who think that running, running and more running are the end-all and be-all of fitness.

For my 50th I'm going to walk the 3-day again (in 2012). I did it in 2007, when I was 45, just to prove to myself that I was recovering and on the road to being well again. (^_^)
