I've been at this for 2 weeks and I haven't lost any weight - but I definitely feel that I have put on muscle, without doing too much of anything. I think the body will build muscle even if you aren't lifting weights. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Sure, you won't be totally ripped from doing just day-to-day activities, but I think the body will create muscle when given the proper nourishment.
I bet that is what is happening - gaining muscle, losing fat. How do your clothes fit? Like I said, I am the same weight, but my clothes are way baggier now and I just 'feel' more muscle-y and less fatty!
Edited to say: Maybe you need to up your calories too? I'm not sure the breakdown of it all, but I know I eat a lot more than that in a day. Every person is different, of course, but it doesn't seem like much food to me.
