Welcome Heather! Seems like you are off to a good start.
Maybe need more protein? One cheat occasionally is understandable. Enjoy and figure out how to avoid in the future, e.g. having primal treats ready.
New to the forum and just started primal 2 weeks ago. I still have the occasional slip ups - like the Peanut Butter M&Ms today, argh, but I'm getting there! Hopefully this journal will help keep me on track.
Stats:
Age: 32
Sex: F
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 150 (pre-pregnancy weight = 130. Gained 50lbs - yikes - lost 30 so far in 7 months eating crap)
Goal: 120-ish
Breakfast:
- 3 oz steak
- 2 strips of bacon
- Steamed broccoli with butter
Lunch:
- 3 oz steak
- Coffee with coconut milk (~2 tsp.)
Dinner:
- 4 oz lemon chicken
- Steamed cauliflower with butter
Snack:
- PB M&Ms (sigh)
Exercise:
- Walked about 4 miles at a fairly quick pace pushing a stroller.
- Danced around to the Wiggles using my son as extra weight - lol. I'll do squats with him in my arms and also lift him up in the air over and over again. He thinks it's super fun - and I get some exercise! He's a big boy too: 22 lbs at 7 months. Chunkster!

Ugh. I've been super busy the last few days and haven't had a chance to update my journal. And of course I didn't write anything I ate down because "I'll remember". Yeah, I don't remember. Anyway, I did OK, but could have done better.
I learned a valuable lesson today though - I can't have chocolate in the house PERIOD. End of story. I bought a large dark chocolate bar to last me through the week. Ya know, eat one or two squares a day. HAHAHAHA!
Well, now that the ENTIRE chocolate bar is down the hatch and not tempting me anymore, I can get back on schedule. Geesh. Tomorrow will be a better day!![]()

Man, I really fell off the wagon for a LONG time. I am now 10 lbs heavier than my starting weight last time. :/ Not only did I slip from eating primal... I started eating gluten again, in a big way! (I have Celiac Disease, too!) I knew I was on the wrong track, not caring what I ate. Then, just this past week, my Carpal Tunnel came back full force. I did some research, and sure enough, they are now linking Carpel Tunnel to Celiac Disease. I was pretty much worthless at work all week, unable to even click my mouse. I knew I had to not only go gluten free again, but primal as well. So, here is to new beginnings. Starting over 10 lbs fatter and not giving up this time!!! I've already been primal/gf for two days and miraculously, my arms are feeling MUCH better. The inflammation is going down and the pain is now about a 2 (instead of a 9) on a scale of 1-10.
So here it is:
