“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” - Jon Kabat-Zinn
“Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.” - Aleister Crowley
When we live mind-full, will-full and intentional, life, we own our reality. It starts with the realization that everything we are - or can be, begins and ends within our own skull. From a mechanical point of view, our body is not much more than a support mechanism for our brain. It provides either sensory input (data) or life support (nutrients, oxygen, waste removal). Intellect, emotions, memories, reactions and addictions are all nothing more than electro-chemical processes within your brain. Here is the bottom line: I/We/You are in control of all of it all
“Do or do not... there is no try.” - Yoda
I/We/You are in control of all of it all? Yes we are, all of it. We can either operate on auto pilot or grab the controls and begin to navigate our lives. We can simply exist, or we can work daily to change our physiques, break habits or learn something new. We need nothing external to expand our consciousness, we are born with the tools. Call it meditation, prayer, or calm focused will, the effects on the brain (and therefore the body) are the same. Chanting a mantra has the same has the same results as counting a rosary.
The only failure is giving up. Are you at peace with your life? Or do you desire change? If you chose change then take one step towards that new life, then take another.
When you do it mind-fully, will-fully and intentionally, you will succeed.
