    Uhh.....Hairloss?

Looking through old posts in the forum I see a lot of topics where people complain about hair loss from going Primal.

I rather like my hair the way it is, thanks. What's the general consensus that's been reached on this topic? Two things I saw come up were "not eating enough fat" and "rapid fat loss causes hair loss." I'm not dropping much weight, and I'm already eating plenty of fat; do I have any cause for concern here? I hope balding isn't some secret unspoken side effect of feeling all Primal and fantastic!

Hmm...if anything, my hair has grown thicker since going "primal". I'm convinced it's all the fat I now eat.

for most it's an issue of vitamin and mineral deficiency: iron, magnesium, b vites.

iron - eat more red meat (or supplement appropriate amounts of ferrochel/iron bisglycinate based on sex and diet)
mag - virtually everyone needs to supplement
b vites- supplement if needed with Jarrow b right or Jigsaw activated b complex.

If your hair is thinning out, grow it back like I did mine, by adding essential silica back into your diet:

I add a tablespoon into my morning Smoothie.

Hair loss in men is most definitely caused by testosterone. I'm talking male pattern baldness. If you're talking about some thing different then there's possible nutritional issues. If it's mal pattern baldness the only proven preventative is Rogain and similar products. It works as long as you use it.

My hair is fine. ( More than fine. It's damn lustrous. ) Which is why I'm concerned with all the hair loss topics I've seen in the forum archives! I don't want anything to happen to my precious mane =p

I was concerned about this too, but have not experience any hair loss so far after 6 months being primal. I definitely need to keep anything I have at this point.

My hair is long, long gone. I've been shaving it for at least five years. Oh well, had some rocking mullets back in the 80's I can look back on for a laugh.
