    Just been looking at the listings for my farmers market....just wishing I had a bit more disposable income!;

    Pork, Trout, Salmon, Lamb, Venison, Ostrich, Buffalo, Aberdeen Angus beef, hog roast, veal...

    yum, yum....all from the beautiful pastures and waters of Scotland...

    if anyone is up in Scotland - you should totally go!

    . . . well, I don't live there now, but I'm seriously thinking of moving for the food.

    that sounds fabulous! Our local farmer's market (the one on sundays)... I like, but I've NEVER seen meat or eggs! Just veggies, fruits, flowers, and then all kinds of other products to buy... I might have to check around to some of the others in town. Unfortunatley most are during the week like 3-7, and I can't get there...

    Mmm... visit with a second mortgage and a wheelbarrow. Also - ostrich and buffalo? OK, I'm jealous.

    I've been when I was up there one chrimbo. Got pished. Do they still do that hog roast? I'm sure there was a hog roast there the last time I was there (but maybe that was because it was chrimbo...)

    Yeah, that's the one. Got my dad sent a caseload of 'alternative' wine (Cairn O'Mohr was the name of the company) he wasn't impressed with it. I LOVED the strawberry sparkling wine, and they did an elderflower sparkle too. A 'mulling' wine made from elderberries, ginger, cloves, can't remember what else was in it but it was scrummy! Seems like rather Primal stuff (not that Grok drank). Oh and MEAD - they made PROPER MEAD!! Now if there's one thing that would tempt me to drink again, that's it! It was heavenly stuff!

    Mmm... I could go for a bit of hog right now - heavy on the crackling, VERY heavy on the apple sauce! Right, that's it, I'm coming back up to Edinburgh before chrimbo. Market still on Princes St, right...?
