fresh crushed garlic
fresh minced ginger
sea salt & pepper
fresh finely chopped cilantro
fresh finely chopped parsley
squirt of lemon juice
crushed red pepper flakes
shrimp, peeled and deveined
I put everything in a dish, stir it up, then add the shrimp for about half an hour (too long and the lemon juice will "cook" the shrimp).
soak some bamboo skewers in water while the shrimp marinate (so they don't light on fire while on the grill), then skewer the shrimp and grill for about a minute or two on each side.
You can make a bunch of these ahead; they even taste good cold and I like to throw them on my big ass salad sometimes (to borrow a term from Mark or just to have a quick nibble.
