It is an awesome idea! But it wasn't mine.
I think it was originally Batty's idea...

    OK, here's what happened
I DID stay on the computer until 10:45, but then I closed my Macbook (without logging off) and got ready for bed.
I was in bed at 11:05

So, yeah, I guess my computer was on-line at 11:10
But it decided to log off sometime during the night, 'cause this morning I had to log back on.

Damn computer has a mind of its own

    March Madness
    1. Push the exercises – Prepare for my 5K on April 10!!!!!
    2. SLEEP
    3. Reduce my fat?
    4. Some kind of creative “mind” play

    Food
L – Ham “Pizza” with red onion, mushrooms, and pineapple 3 baby carrots and 1 small cucumber (1/2 C)

S – 2 almonds while I was making supper 'cause my Farmer opened the container. 2 (5oz) glasses of the wine I tried last weekend.

D – “Hawaiian Meatballs” meatballs made with ginger, egg, onions. Fried red onion, mushrooms, red pepper, and carrots, with a sauce of pineapple juice, vinegar and soy sauce (with a T of corn starch) and pineapple pieces. The family had it with rice, I had it with cauliflower. ½ a mango. Chai.

    Avoid Poisons & Stupid Mistakes
I had 2 glasses of wine. But It’s the weekend and I’m not on 30 DONN anymore!!
There was a T of corn starch in the sauce. What can I use instead of corn starch to thicken sauces??

    Move Slowly, Lift Heavy, Sprint
    5 Tibetan Rites: 5 reps

    PBF
    L3 Pushup – 25, 25
    L4 Squat – 35, 35
    L2 Overhead Press – 10, 10
    L2 Plank – 50 sec, 50 sec

    Pullup Challenge
    L2 Pullup: 10, 10
    L2 Chinup: 10, 10
Static Hold/Reverse Chin Up: - 4 - Hold for 4 seconds, then 4 second controlled drop

Sleep, Sun, Play, and Use Your Brain
Bed at 11:05. Up at 8:20.
Checked MDA, wasted about an hour on-line.
    Closed Macbook.
    Cleaned the kitchen. Laundry. PBF.
    Lunch. Surf MDA.
Downloaded and tried CRONoMeter instead of FitDay after reading yesterday’s MDA post.
    Close Macbook.
    Chilled my wine
    Cleaned the bathroom. PBF. Laundry.
    Made supper. Drank wine.

    Entered my foods in CRONoMeter.

    Here's the #s:
    Total Calories: 1237
    Protein: 68g, 23%
    Carbs: 57g, 17%
    Fat: 59 g , 43% (well CRONoMeter calls them Lipids…)
    Alcohol: 31 g 17%

I suppose I should enter the same data in FitDay, as a comparison…
    FitDay
    Total Calories: 1,187
    Fat 66g, 593 C, 50%
    Carbs: 45.5 g, 168 C, 14%
    Protein: 48.5 g, 198 C, 17%
    Alcohol: 31.5 g, 218 C, 19%

Most foods were fairly close in #s, but cauliflower was more than 2x as many calories in FitDay. Ham was 25 Cal more on CRONoMeter. I don’t know why my total Protein #’s are so different??? And CRONoMeter doesn't give break down the fat/protein/carb calories.

    Tracking is SO much fun…

But I think I’ll stick with CRONoMeter. It was faster and “easier” to use…

Your foods look lovely and the wine looks great! No suggestions for thickening the sauce, though I've seen other posts using other more primal thickeners.

You've really improved on the pullups since you started . I actually stopped at my pullup bar in the basement last evening and did a quick chin up, the first in a while. I really feel them in the core, strange.

Interesting about the differences between fitday and chronometer, I haven't tried that one. I think that shows that you can't take any of them as totally accurate.

    Happy Friday

I've used Agar Agar powder which works quite well. I also use potato starch, but don't know how you feel about potatoes. Personally I wouldn't stress about a little cornflour. I happen to think that corn is kinda innocuous if a tiny bit creeps into your diet, but then I could just be trying to justify the nachos that I had for dinner made with white corn chips.

Em's right about agar. Also, if you can find an asian market, try looking for water chestnut flour. Also konjac root powder (the same stuff they use to make "Miracle Noodles"). All work really well as thickeners and we won't have to revoke your Primal credentials.

    Keep at those pull ups!

So, once I "get there" it won't vanish if I don't keep it up? This is good news

Yeah, its just a guide, a reference. I'm not sure how many more days I'll do it.

I keep telling myself "I'm NOT on 30 DONN, this ISN'T cheating!"
I've been avoiding potatoes and corn, mainly because I'm trying to lose...but someday...
