oooh that meatloaf looked good. I am so going to have to try that. Yes streaky bacon is the answer, they must have that in aussie em?

even though I have taken to getting up earlier I am definitely not a morning person. I think it is just going to bed earlier that is making the difference for me. My regular bed time used to be around 10.30/11, now it is more like 9.30. It's 5.30am now... and yep, I'm wide awake.

Which is what you get when you buy bacon here. That big eye makes the weaving part a bit difficult.
Oh, but I bet its better to eat!

Love the dogs, the rib cages, and the bacon (Em, can you not buy streaky bacon? Tends to be thinner, at least over here). And I delivered a parcel which originated from Ontario today (weird that I would remember, but it caught my eye) so in a funny and very very loose way we are linked
    LOL
Not only by that funny and very loose way, but my daughter visited England this summer, so, like, we are also linked that way

It was easier getting up today.

I've been glued to the news all day. North western Ontario has been stuck in a snow storm for 2 days, truckers have been living in their trucks, the police have had to rescue people from their cars. I can only guess that they're all fasting against their wills.

I hope you and your family is okay Winencandy!!!

If streaky bacon is available, I imagine it'll be in the continental deli and cost about $20 a kilo. Might be worth it just to try that meatloaf though. I'll have a look.

W'n'C, yes it is delicious stuff

Yeah, we saw that too. They rescued 230 people from the 402!
The army and helicopters helped with that! And that doesn't count the county roads.
The 401 is also shut down.
We're good. I haven't had to drive anywhere. Good thing because I drive a VW Beetle
After the Farmer plowed our lane he took the tractor and blade down our gravel road to the corner.
It's blown over again. The plow finally made it down our road around 5:30 tonight.

I've had to shovel trails in the yard for the Papillons! The snow's too deep:

    35 Days 12 Hours 11 Minutes

    Food
L – a red grapefruit, a slice of last night’s bacon wrapped meatloaf, a small cauliflower, mushroom, carrot, bacon salad (balsamic and bacon fat)
D – Spaghetti Meat sauce and coleslaw. One glass of wine. Dole Mandarin oranges (YUCK), a 1/3 cup of dates, almonds and goat cheese – to get the Dole Orange taste out of my mouth!

    Avoid Poisons & Stupid Mistakes
No candy, no chocolate, one small glass of wine.
I hurt my thumb shredding baby carrots for the coleslaw
I had a 107ml snack cup of Dole Mandarin oranges (‘cause my daughter had one) and it tasted GROSS!
I looked at the packaging – “Sweetened with Sucralose” YUCK! Why did I buy it? I HATE that stuff!
I can taste that, or aspartame, in anything. I’ve always been able to do that.
Everyone thinks I’m crazy ‘cause I can taste it, but I can.

I didn't try to drive anywhere today, thereby avoiding getting stuck or going in the ditch!

    Move Slowly, Lift Heavy, Sprint
I’m glad I’ve been doing Shovelglove. It helped today when I shoveled out some trails for the Paps

They've got 4 intersecting trails to run through

Sleep, Sun, Play, and Use Your Brain
    Bed at 10:30. I know!
It took about a hour to fall asleep. Not bad.
Awake at 6:00 (Papillons) checked online (iPhone) to see if the buses were cancelled. They were. Texted my sister and my daughter. Back to sleep. 7 am the alarm went off. Turned it off. 7:30 the Farmer’s pager went off (he’s a volunteer fireman) 401 problems. He didn’t even try to go out the lane. The Farmer got up at 8, the Papillons came back up to wake me at 8:30. I got up at 9.

The Farmer plowed the laneway and then, since the plows hadn’t been down our gravel road, he plowed a path to the paved road (which also hadn’t been plowed).

Another photo of the Pap trails:

This one is the path to the wine cellar, 'cause I gotta have access to that!

We live in an old farmhouse, you have to go outside to get in the basement.

Some laundry (will it EVER end?) some cleaning

Slow day, I almost felt like having a nap, but I didn’t ‘cause I want to go to bed early tonight!

The 1st 20 minutes of the local news was all about the snowstorm.

Thanks The pups are having a blast!

    Yeah, fake sweeteners are gross.

I've had really good sleep for the past two nights. There must be something to the "sleep before midnight" theory...
