I think laughing and having a good time are important. When we took the dogs out hiking on Saturday, we had a great time chasing them, they're very silly and love to play, they make us laugh.

Watch a comedy, listen to uplifting music you love, dance around the house, do things that make you feel good and make you happy.

LOL, yeah, well, almost happened I got in bed at 11, but didn't fall asleep until 12. Hopefully this will get easier.
And this morning...well, I was 'up' with him for a little bit, but it was a snow day, so I went back to bed...but I got up at 9!

The spotted elephant always tugs @ my heartstrings.

Hi W'n'C! Early bed sounds brilliant.

It did sound brilliant, now I just gotta fall asleep when I get there. Funny, I have NO problem falling back asleep in the morning, but trying to fall asleep early in the evening (not that 10 or 11 is early for everyone else - just me) is difficult.
I've been up for 2 hours, shoveled the deck and did Shovelglove and I could go crawl back into bed and fall asleep, no problem.

Yesterday the grass was bare.
Today it is winter:

Poor Lily looks overwhelmed.

She loves it out in the snow! She races around, plowing through the snow. She digs, catches snowballs, "helps' clean off the deck.
I can't get her to come in.
When she finally does, she has golf ball sized ice balls under her legs and I have to dry her/warm her with the hair dryer.
She just gets warm and she wants to go back out again

Josie doesn't think the snow is that great.

Glad you tried getting to bed earlier. I never have problems getting to sleep, lights out and I'm gone in about 5 mins I reckon. I find it hard to get back to sleep int he mornings even when i can sleep in... we're all so different!

That looks so beautiful! I used to live in Scotland and I remember the best part was looking out at the untouched world in the morning, everything looks so amazing. The worst part was traipsing through 3 feet of the stuff to get to the cleared roads and the school bus!

Just a quick thought on the sleeping thing. You may have more luck if you make yourself get up early when the farmer leaves. That way, you'll be dog-tired come 10pm. It's what I do when I have to get ready for night-duty and need to sleep early.

Oh, and Lily looks adorable covered in snow!

Food
L – ½ grapefruit, BAS – cauliflower, mushroom, carrot, avocado, goat cheese, bacon with lemon juice, garlic and bacon fat dressing
S – a couple of almonds and dates
D – TAWFUNGUY’s bacon wrapped meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans, raw cauliflower & mushrooms. Two small glasses of wine. The last ½ cup of the Roly Poly ice cream.

Avoid Poisons & Stupid Mistakes
No candy, no chocolate.
I had Roly Poly ice cream, scalloped potatoes, and wine, but I used the small glass.
I turned down a job in the city today, thereby avoiding driving an hour each way in the crazy snow.

Move Slowly, Lift Heavy, Sprint
I shoveled the snow off the deck

I wrapped my wrist:
Shovelglove – 8 lb sledgehammer, 14 minutes

Sleep, Sun, Play, and Use Your Brain
Started to think about bed at 10, finally made it there at 11 Awake till 12.
Hopefully this will get better…
Woke up at 6:30 by my daughter who told me the busses were delayed 2 hours. Fell back asleep. Up at 7 with a phone call for a job in the city that started in an hour! Said Nope.
Fell back asleep. The phone woke me at 8, for a 1-hour job in the city. I wasn’t sure of the road conditions so I said Nope. I woke again at 9 and found out that the busses were cancelled. No school today. I thought about going back to sleep, BUT I got up!

I let the Papillons out to play in the snow. I put my coat & boots on and shoveled off the deck.
Then I wrapped my wrist and did Shovelglove.
Laundry. Play outside with the Papillons. They love the snow
Wandered around outside with the camera taking photos.
Made TAWFUNGUY’s Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf (no square eggs, and I used ground turkey)

Tonight, not much, parked my ass on the couch.

I will REALLY try to go to bed at 10…Really.

Food porn... YAY! That looks awesome!! Our Aussie bacon is different to yours I think. I drool over the weaved bacon dishes I see around here but I don't think I could replicate it with this...



Which is what you get when you buy bacon here. That big eye makes the weaving part a bit difficult.
