    40 Days 9 Hours Minutes

    Food
L @ 10:45 - cauliflower, carrot, mushroom, avocado and two-deviled egg salad. I forgot the bacon
D – $tarbucks Grande Tazo Chai Latte. Chinese food at the mall. ½ order of Chow Mien and a ½ order of Spicy Beef.

    Avoid Poisons & Stupid Mistakes
No candy, no chocolate, no wine.

    Move Slowly, Lift Heavy, Sprint
I was a supply teacher and I went mall shopping with my daughter…

Sleep, Sun, Play, and Use Your Brain

Bed at midnight. Lily woke me up at 6, she wanted to go outside and make sure her deer was still on the deck I stayed up and got ready for a supply-teaching job. I left at 7am. 45 min drive to the school. Finished at 2:15, flew to my daughter’s school, picked her up and drove an hour into the city for her surgeon’s appointment.

Her mobility is improving. Her flexion is 130 degrees (good leg is 150) and her extension is 178 degrees ( her good leg is +8)
But he said no Phys Ed next semester

We went to Chapters and $tarbucks and then to the mall for Chinese and a bit of shopping.
I bought a belt. At Garage. I haven’t used a belt in a few years. (Since I out grew my last one)
I’m fussy about belts, the buckle can’t be too big or it catches on my belly bar.
And I don’t like the tiny thin ones, or bling, or elastic at the back and of course it had to be black.
Bonus – it was on sale

Home by 9. Parked my ass on the couch.

Oooh...seeing those bones makes me think of making stock! Been years since I've had deer, I spent one winter when living at home in northern BC eating no other meat than moose...good but gets old when that's all there is.

I have to chuckle at the starbucks chai latte...that's hubby's fave whenever we stop in there, despite my regular comments on the amount of sugar. I find it far too sweet these days. Then again, 20% and all...

That's the smaller rib cage. Here's Josie with the bigger one:

Sorry for the REALLY poor quality image.

Sorry your daughter isn't 100% yet, but I'm glad she's improving.
    Thanks.
She's getting there - it's only been 4.5 months since surgery. She's gained 30 degrees flexion in the last six weeks.

    Why thank you 216

(I almost didn't post the deer photos because the quality isn't as good as I like/expect/demand of myself)

I read Mark's post today, the two success stories, and it depressed me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled for the two successul women.
BUT I can't help thinking "What about ME?"

    What's wrong with me?
    Why can't I loose?

Lindsey lost 20 lbs since Sept 1.
    I've lost 2.

    And Malika.
    WOW!

    I'm just SO frustrated....

I hear ya sister! I know you've been at it longer than me, but after 2 and a half months I am exactly 1kg heavier than when I started and I don't cheat. I have a drink from time to time, but nothing like I used to, I haven't touched a grain of any description and have cut dairy (except butter) to an occasional indulgence. I really don't know what else to do, but will keep plugging away, I guess that's all we can do eh?
    Hugs
