    I miss you guys too

    Update...
I think I have scared my Dragon into hiding. For now. I haven't bought gummy bears in about a week I'm trying to go No Candy for Feb. (But NOT no chocolate! - lets be real!)

Still almost daily wine...one or two glasses before supper. Although I've switched back to white. Red was staining my teeth.

I'm trying to reduce the amount of cream in my morning Chai. Cut down from 35% to 10 %.

I went clothes shopping the other day. Wasn't impressed with the belly. Kinda a saggy pouch thing happening. Hard to hide it in a change room with bright lights and a mirror. Not sexy at all. I should probably incorporate Mark's 5 (what were they called again?) essential movements or something like that.

Weight still the same. Never changing 142...

I've been experiencing nightly hot flashes. Not too bad. Yet.

I have more silver in my hair. It's still curly and getting longer.

Teaching is all encompassing. Like I knew it would be. 2nd semester. Repeated courses. You'd think it would be easier. But I'm never satisfied, always trying to improve my course. right now I have a 10/11/12 split class. Limited resources. Trying to develop rotating units.

Eldest is doing great. Building things in Toronto. Someday I'll post a few pics of the knives he makes.
University Son is in his final semester. Almost time to join the "real world".
Surfer Son has a job he enjoys (although it's not too busy now) working for a tiling company. Outside, in fields, with big equipment. He (with my Farmer's help) just bought a used Jeep Wrangler.
Daughter is in 2nd semester at University. Loving it. She gets along great with her roommate.

We bought a 2nd farm in Nov. (my Farmer's parent's place) We now own two farms almost side by side (50 acres apart) and will be in debt till we die

I finished a knitting project. Maybe I'll post pics. They are "boot toppers". Knitted tubes that look like socks to come out of the top of my tall boots.

I still have my Beetle. Still love it.

    Butterflies still adorable.

I think that's all for now.

    I've missed you girls too.

It's Family Day in Ontario. Holiday. No school.
My University Children are coming home for "reading week"
University Son (in his last semester, he'll need a new name soon) had his 25th birthday yesterday!
Daughter is bringing home her roommate (she's from BC)
I'll have a full house for the week!

I read something today about magnesium deficiency, one of the 'symptoms' is food cravings - especially sugar......

Sounds like a great week ahead for you with the kids home. Too bad you don't have the week off, but at least you had today. We federal employees don't get the holiday here, Louis Riel Day in Manitoba. Son #1 has gone on road trip with buddies to snowboard at Big White in Kelowna, as a buddy is working out there this winter before starting university.

    Checking In

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
    I'm still around.
Still Primal, except for the candy....
    and too much wine....

Teaching, while it stimulates me, also mentally and physically exhausts me.
AND it "calls" my Dragon. Every afternoon. Without fail.
Teaching (and the wine & candy and total lack of exercise) is NOT good for my waist.
I'm back up to 150!!! Eek!

School starts early (8 am) but I'm only teaching classes from 11:30 - 2.
    My typical day was:
Chai in the morning (with cream & honey)
    Prep for classes
Lunch at 10:45 am! WAY too early (usually leftovers from the night before)
Classes are over at 2 and I'm always STARVING then!!! That's the nuts, candy, Larabar, whatever I can find time.
I usually stay at school till 4ish
Come home, 1-3 glasses of wine
    Supper
Veg on the couch or Prep for the next day

    Result: 10 lb gain

    So I'm trying something different.
I'm on my 2nd week of IF (the "Fast 5" version)
Plain "black" Bengal Spice Chai in the morning (no cream or honey)
Repeat at 10:30 (This is surprisingly easy)
Eat my packed lunch at 2 (therefore bypassing the candy binge)
No wine during the week (so far that's Mon - Thurs)
Maybe another small snack around 4
    Stop eating at 7pm

Repeat. It's surprisingly easy, but I've given myself some leeway on the weekends. (wine, no IF)

So far my weight hasn't budged.
    No big surprise.

    I haven't read anyone's posts in FOREVER.
I see the last time I posted was Feb! That was also the last time I was here.

Oh, and our asparagus has come on strong! Huge crop every night
